Spring has sprung! Well, for this week it did. As the snow melted on the bluff a huge snow mound appeared at the curling club. We have been waiting for it's arrival. After sledding and rugby on Princess Island in the morning the Owls settled in at the snow mound for a good part of the afternoon.

We are delighted with how the Owls took to rugby. It seemed like an all around favourite and certainly tuckered us all out. The Owls demonstrated speed, teamwork, strategy and deeking skills. We look forward to more games in future classes.

The Owls started working on the snow mound with four different entrances/spaces. There is a pent house up top that is small but has a lovely view. The different groups are working together to coordinate hopefully sinking up through a tunnel system. We will see what next week brings.

Venturing back to the bluff for the end of the day the Owls learned about different formations of snow and their names. After talking all about snow and sharing our different snow stories, the Owls made snowflakes with crayons and water paint. We ended the day with some Would You Rather questions that we discussed on our walk down the hill.
