Squirrels, Oct 15

Todays class was filled with games, ghost crafts and pulleys. We wanted to introduce pulleys and ropes to the class, as many of the Squirrels love creating and understanding how things work. When we attach buckets to the pulleys they become ziplines for stuffies or elevators. We learn about how weight effects the movement and the best way to keep everything working. Todays class we had to problem solve the elevators as the bucket wasn't heavy enough to come down on its own and sometimes the rope would get pulled through. Next we we will build on these while also figuring out how to make a zipline for the Squirrels to use! Ask your squirrels if they prefered the Zipline or elevator version.

Our spooky craft used a unique gift from nature, which required the Squirrels to be very careful cutting and glueing down the wasp paper. It was fun seeing all the ways the Squirrels interacted with the paper and the creative ideas they came up with. Some Squirrels continued to create spooky themed art afterwards! We eneded class with some of our favorite games, another beautiful fall day!
