We made good use of our day today! From exhausting physical games (Pull Over! Have your Coyote demonstrate it for you!) to relaxing by the fire and working on our spoon carving, we used a lot of our skills.

-physical literacy

-decision making as a group

-physics; using the sling shot to predict height, distance and speed, as well as designing 'rice bombs' to disengage upon release

-fire building

-cooking

-art and math; cutting out and designing our quilting squares

If you are a quilter or know of one, we'll be looking for batting soon, and fabric backing!

Our afternoon was a celebration of Ms. Dawn's birthday, where we tried a homemade carrot cake in the campfire Dutch oven. We were a little concerned when we popped the lid open for a look, and it was...pitch black! Upon further investigation, we could see that by peeling by the top, burnt layer, there was a delicious cake underneath. With Kaia and Ari's arm muscles, we had cream cheese icing as well. Nothing is bad with cream cheese icing. Happy Birthday to MS. Dawn!

Next week are climbing, walking and eating! Your Coyotes can bring $10 for climbing, and extra spending money if they wish. There is also a waiver that Ms. Dawn will send out again this week; if you don't sign it, they can't climb!

There is no school the week of March 23.
