The trebuchet's are still capturing our imaginations! Once we talked though what the essential elements are in a trebuchet, they were challenged to make their own! Just like in science, not everything worked the way we wanted it to the first time. We tried to remember what the original trebuchet was like, and why is worked the way it did. Then, we adapted those principles to our own design. We enjoy testing out ideas; if an idea is suggested, we say, "Why not?" and we test it out. If it works, the teams keeps it, and if it doesn't work, we understand that no harm was done and we go back to the drawing board.

One team made an amazing trebuchet, which we then used clay to create missiles for. A whole game erupted, including points for being hit with it and also retrieving it.

Ask your ROwl what their clay creation looked like, and how well it flew! Some were working on creating an aerodynamic missile!

We are also loving the Blackfoot game, Double Ball. We made our own today. Here are some YouTube videos on how to make the stick, and how to play the game!

We will continue to progress our knowledge of the game, and improve the equipment we use in the game!
