Red Squirrels, Mar 14

upstreamforestschool

This morning we started with some mapping of the bluff, we climbed to the very top to get a good view of our area. Then they practiced drawing a birds eye view of some where on the bluff. Some drew our spot, others drew certain pathways or even the landmarks from their house to forest school. Lastly we spent some time with the compasses and added the cardinal directions to our maps. Ask your Squirrel which map they drew and if they figured out how the compasses worked. Next week we will have a compass scavenger hunt!

With the beautiful Weather the Squirrels spent most of free time carving and using tools. We also played the animal eye spy which was a fun challenge!
