Rabbits - October 15

upstreamforestschool

We got our morning going with some fun running games, which is always a great way to get moving.

During our snack and story we continued to read about some Greek myths and drew pictures based on the challenges that Heracles faced. If your child enjoys these Greek myths, there is a great podcasts from National Geographics Kids called Greeking Out to hear more of these stories.

A highlight of our day was having the Red Fox class come visit us and show us how to make some weapons that they have been working on. They showed us how to make cross bows and bow and arrows. It was a good way to practice some of our carving skills that we have been working on and the weapons were a fun addition to our free play.

The slack line was fun to 'hang out' on!

For our class debrief Ms Elena helped us find a leaf to represent something to 'leave behind', a stick to represent something to 'stick around', and a rock to identify something that rocked about today. Ask your Rabbit if they can remember what they shared with the class about our time together.
