We had a wide variety of weather and activities today on the Bluff! We started with some games and learned a new one- Captains Coming. We added some directional challenges to help us practice identifying North, East, South and West. The Rowls class helped us take our mapping skills to the next level by challenging us to find hidden items using the directions and a rope for precise distances. Free time with our older friends was lots of fun and included lots of dramatic play and play fighting. We also had some art projects and tool circle happening for those who wanted a quieter activity. Our class ended with continued work on our felting project. We are getting more skilled each week and require fewer bandages as a result of fewer pokes with the felting needle. Our creative and beautiful work is starting to come together!
Saluting the Captain and working on the cardinal directions.
We had fun with the coloured ice blocks, mallets and hammers.
Figuring out 2 rope lengths heading South East - we all discovered the hidden prizes and had fun with this new mapping activity.
Watercolour painting with salt on top produced a really cool affect!
Working on our felting projects in the cabin.
See you next week, Rabbits.
