We were able to offer more free time to explore today! The warmer weather meant more time to slow down. After our fire challenge, they certainly took the reigns and led the class!
The fire challenge involved the questions: Can you get water boiling on a fire in 10 min? The group divided into roles, although not exactly equally (there were 4 people on tinder, and 1 person on firewood!), and in 12 minutes they had tea! Fantastic!
Once they realized the snow was packing snow, a snowball fight was called! Forts were reinforced, and rules of engagement were negotiated. It was noticed that after lunch, the quality of the snow had changed (the sun was in a different position in the sky) and they could now use the snow closest to their fort. A great observation of the weather and sun pattern!
Here are some more details about our upcoming double ball tournament!
