The Foxes were born to ride and slide!
Starting out at McHugh bluff we practiced how to signal and bike as a group on pathways. Some of the Foxes started out a little shakey but with no complaints and by the end of the day although everyone was tired they all wanted more biking!
Our first stop was the park in the east village where the Foxes surfed on the roller slide and played tag on the jungle gym. Our next stop was the park in St. Patrick's Island, where Emmy and Maisy found the best swings in the city. After some imaginary flights around the world and playing in the park we gathered to go on an alphabet scavenger hunt. There were some pretty creative responses to Q, Z and X. After a game of mantracker where the trackers were on bikes we settled down for lunch. Congratulations Jude on winning the golden crown!

After lunch we made an epic slip and slide, which was the highlight of the day. Ask your Fox if they helped with hauling water, setting up the tarps or folding the tarps at the end.
Before heading back to the bluff the Foxes had free time on bikes and in the water. To energize for the ride home we shared the dandelion bread that was made last week.
P.S Emmy and Maisy went down from the top at their own pace!
The Foxes seem pretty excited about incorporating bike rides into our last three classes so please continue to bring bikes, helmets, lots of water and perhaps river shoes!
