The Owls were challenged with some minute to win it challenges early in the morning. Working together as a team to execute each challenge, whether it wws suspending a team member, or filling up buckets with snow using a spoon shows how well they work together under pressure.

We continued to work on our fire skills and made a fire which we used to melt some pewter and pour into molds. We discovered that the pewter needed to be on very high heat to melt, but it cooled very quickly once removed from the heat.). Ask your Owl about the experience and what they found difficult about the process and let them show you what they made!

At the cabin, the kids started to work on their artworks for the upcoming exhibit at the gallery. The theme is Wild and the class decided to make a representation of the animal food chain and are using wood cookies and wool felt to create their Natural work of Art. Stay tuned for more information on the exhibit opening in March.

In the afternoon we climbed the snowy and slippery hill across from the cabin, some found it difficult as but the group persevered and never gave up. When anyone had a hard time everyone is always willing to lend a helping hand. At one point while climbing Calvin had trouble getting his footing on the steep hill and Huxley came to the rescue and pulled out a rope from him backpack and securely tied it to a tree and went down to help Calvin up. It was very nice to see how well this group works together, they never give up no matter how difficult it is.

Great job Owls!
