Owls, Dec 12

upstreamforestschool

Mingle, mingle, mingle - it's a game, not a song! Ask your child how many of the animal group behaviours they remember! For next week, they should research two ideas; what an animal prey behaviour is, and an animal predator. For example, how do the lions work together to get a zebra, and how do the zebras work together to fool the lion? We will share in the morning our findings!

Our Chill Time is becoming quite spectacular - from candle carving to candle decorating, we are enjoying the using of melted crayons to add colour to our carvings.

We asked the children to help plan one yellow time for next week, to help them begin reflecting on their own needs and learning; they decided they would like a fire, to work on candles, and have a treat (they said marshmallows, but we say toast!). Sounds like a great start to the day!

Next week as well, the all day Owls will bring food to share at lunch for a potluck. In the afternoon, we will go skating at 2:30. If any 1/2 day Owls would like to come back and join us, they are welcome to! We will be at the skating rink down the block. Please pick up your child at 3:30 at the skating rink.
