Last week the Nuthatches had found a fairy house, so this class we looked for some more and found another one! This lead us to a different spot then usual so we got to spend class in a new spot. The Nuthatches were very interested in spider man so instead of making mini fairies we made mini spider people! The Nuthatches also made some beautiful web homes for their spider people, working on knots and choosing different colors of yarn. To make the webs sticky they collected water from the melting to snow to spray on their webs.
Collecting water was tricky and they had to work together and try different types of containers before they could collect enough!
Ask your Nuthatch which character they made and how they collected enough water. Next week we will build something else for our spider homes!
