The Nuthatches have been making a map of their favorite spots to show Rikia, after an enthusiastic tour we made it to our original spot. Ask your Nuthatch which spot is their favorite and if they named it. Since we have been learning about birds we spent more time talking about their features and what makes them different. We spent time drawing our ultimate birds, choosing colors, feet type and size based on the powers they would have. Ask your nuthatch about their bird. Then we practiced our bird sounds and the only ones that stumped them was the nuthatch and magpie.
Free play was filled with kitchen experiments, games and exploring our spot since its been a couple weeks since we had been their. It was a lovely last class with the Nuthatches and I am excited for all the fun Rikia and the Nuthatches will have!
