We headed to the bike track today to play in a different environment than usual. The Squirrels were very excited and straight away were creating a castle, inspired by the large willow tree, using ropes for walls. In every castle there is a dungeon and this one had a jail where the teachers were captured and tied up!
We created bird nests by making mud and adding grass, plants and wool to make the nest cosy and then after the rain we had a good time sliding on the muddy bike ramps.
We sheltered from the rain beneath the tarp and read a story about The First Beaver that Henry had brought along - thanks! Denan also had a book he shared, which had a group of the Squirrels in the climbing tree all engrossed in it - wonderful to see!
