Coyotes, April 24

Our goal today was to challenge ourselves with extra elevation, distance and weather. We succeeded on all points!

The weather was arm, but there was snow on the path. That meant we were sliding around, which was fun on the one hand, but we all had wet socks by the end of the trip!

The distance proved to be more than we could finish in the time we had, but we were proud of what we did (7.6km) and the pace we set. When we decided to be 1/2 hour, but try for a 'summit push', we gave our all for that 30 minutes! We got as high as we could in the time remaining, then turned around. Unfortunately, we couldn't call from the parking lot, so our parents had to wait for us...we're sorry! Thanks for being amazing!

The elevation was certainly a challenge; we had sore legs, heavy breathing and sweaty clothes...but it was worth it. Check out our view! With our favourite motivational chants (as your Coyote what they are!) we got each other up the hills.

Somersaulting down the snowy hill was a highlight, as well as spotting bear tracks, moose tracks and a grouse!

We look forward to more Coyote adventures! Next week: Mini Forest School!!
