Following Ted's idea the Foxes started the day with a game of capture the 'fort'. A game with no boundaries, no safe zones and snow balls instead of tags. It was a high energy game and everyone was invested in capturing the other team's fort. The rules were adjusted as the game went on and by the end of the game, Upstream has a new game to play for years to come. Thanks Ted!

The Foxes are getting so good at creating games that are fun, challenging and also fair. They no longer try to bend rules to win the game, but make rules that make a good game to play whether they win or loose.

The game ended with a visit from the Rabbits who shared their make believe ice cream with the Foxes. Real ice cream is definitley on the list for future things to do with the Rabbits.

Full of energy the Foxes spent the rest of the morning doing wrestling games. It was so nice to have the fresh snow to cushion the falls. Again the Foxes tailored the games to suit their style.

After lunch the Foxes worked on their apple face dolls. Many characters came to life as the dolls were pieced together and scenarios were played out with them.

After lunch we made a fire collaboratively. The Foxes are becoming a well oiled fire making machine. Some went to make tinder, some sawed, come chopped, come split and they came together to build and light the fire. Spider dogs and chestnuts were roasted. The jury's out on chestnuts, but the spider dogs were a hit!
