We enjoyed a brisk day at Nose Hill, finishing up our Hunger Games adventure. As the morning wore on, more and more Coyotes joined the ranks of 'game master'. It was a challenge thinking of ways to advance the game, but Bean, Ari, then Hazel Maryam and Kaia were great! Ask them what their contribution was!
The participants found the treed area a different feel; it was harder to move around, physically, but easier to hide oneself. It's interesting to see how a different ecosystem lends itself to different activities. We found the shelter building fun in that there were so many trees to use, for example! We made one that would be great for camping or rain, and one that would fit many people, but very exposed.
Challenge: Have your Coyote bring in a new tarp design to try. Or, have them think of a scenario where they would need that tarp, and we have to create the tarp to match it.
We look to the next few weeks, where we will plan a field trip, finish our tufting, and continue to experiment with dyes!
