Today we went on a stunning hike up Prairie Mountain in Bragg Creek. Before starting the hike, everyone was shivering and quickly piled on their layers, but after a couple of minutes of hiking, we were all so hot. Even though the hike was only 3 km, I found that it felt like so much longer due to the steep incline throughout the entire hike. At times, my legs were burning, and I was out of breath, but the continuous laughter and talking of everyone else around me, and the delicious snacks that we shared, definitely made it a whole lot easier. Another thing I noticed during this hike was when and where I was most motivated. I felt the most motivated after climbing a steep hill or realizing that we were already halfway there, but surprisingly, I felt the least motivated when I saw the summit. The feeling of seeing the summit but knowing I still have a huge hill to climb made me want to stop where I was and enjoy the view from there, but I also knew that I would later regret not getting to the top when I was so close. The view from the top was beautiful. To one side, there were hills and hills of lush green forest, and on the other side was a never-ending prairie. - Maryam

We wanted to apologize for being late; please let us know if you didn't receive an email from me letting you know. There's no reception there, so we used the Garmin. There was an injury we had to address.
