Coyotes, 20 March

The Coyotes started the day trying to beat a challenge time set by the Red Foxes, which seemed impossible. With a few Coyote siblings in this class the Coyotes were not going to give up and worked through a few ways to get close to and then equal the time of the Red Foxes.

We enjoyed playing a new game called "Gimme, gimme, gimme." A mix of soccer, rugby, volleyball all thrown in. The added twist was it is a game with no referee so both teams have to decide what is and isn't allowed. There were suggestions to create rules but the Coyotes preferred to stick with no rules. In contrast to this they were keen to make the teams fair so one side didn't always score. This was achieved by constantly rotating team members with one sub. The sub took a break (running in the deep snow is tiring) and no-one could get too attached to their team because they changed sides regularly. A good solution for everyone!

Heading inside, Ellie led us how to make energy bites, which were delicious and we settled down to play a card version of the Animal Game we have played on the bluff. From being non-competitive in the morning the Coyotes were invested in winning this game and it was close with Lucy and Minel pipping the other teams to a win.

There was a lot of determination to clamber up the slippery rope climb and a lot of encouraging support for those of us slower climbers at the back - thanks Coyotes!

Dare devil trust falls finished our day. The group definitely trust each other and know they can rely on each other.
