Cottontails, November 13th

upstreamforestschool

Due to technical details, this post is a week late. Sorry!

We took a break from A 'Wolf Called Wander' to read Stardog. This book quickly took us all to another world and got our imaginations going. The Cottontails were thrilled looking at the little creatures in the book and noticing the small details. At the end of the class they worked collaboratively on making a large mural of all the characters from Stardog.

We had one last pumpkin to smash, which we tied up and made into a pumpkin pinata. Next year I will have to bring treats to fill the pumpkin with.

Practicing our call and response as well as navigating through our area we played a game of Sardines. Counting as a group to 100 we used rhythm to keep us together. When it was time to find the first sardine we practiced being stealthy so that we could snuggle in with the sardine without the others seeing.

During free time the Foxes played with the kitchen as well as had a paint splatter fight. The fight tested the Foxes in communicating with one another to make some ground rules so everyone enjoyed playing the game.
