Burrowing Owls, Sept 14
Everyone was excited playing the animal game. There were herbivores, carnivores and omnivores in the ecosystem all trying to survive by finding food and water and not being eaten. We started with the basic game which led to a discussion about different people's strategies. The game can be levelled up to understand some complex ecosystem interactions while having fun at the same time!
We know at some point the weather will change and there'll be rain and snow so the Burrowing Owls are getting prepared by learning knots that will help them put up a tarp for shelter. This week we practiced the bowline knot aka the King Of Knots. This led to some creative shelter building and new friendships blossoming.
