Burrowing Owls, April 28
We are so ready for our final Orienteering Challenge next week! We practiced more map memory work today, and how to explain clearly one's position on the map. We also did an exercise where we could visualize how a topographical map works, using a playdough mountain we made! We will need these skills next week! For the exercise next week, we've asked the children to pack their positive attitude and their can-do spirit - you can coach them through that as well! There will be a mini party as each control is found, using a Cinco de Mayo theme!
Ask your child what we prepared for the 'party' next week (it involves a paper bag...)
