As the squirrels become more accustomed to the routines and activities of forest school, they are becoming more playful and engaged with one another. Its great to see new friendships forming and different groups having fun and playing together. We enjoyed a beautiful fall afternoon with games, books, a zipline, tool circle and mud kitchen!

Some squirrels were eager to make more leaf creatures during free time.

We used this ladder to climb onto the zip line for a fun ride! Taking turns and waiting in line briefly was necessary.

More fun running games. We had new combinations of bobcats and they were all fast, keeping us on our toes.

We read a book about animal houses, called Need a House, call Miss Mouse and worked in pairs to create a cozy house for a stuffy.

We toured the animal houses of our classmates and were impressed by the creative and cozy abodes.

Our final activity was creating grass bundles or bouquets using scissors to cut the long grass and string to tie the bundles.
See you next week, squirrels!
