Squirrels - Sept 18

The squirrels enjoyed another beautiful day on the bluff! We had a few new additions to our class today, including Ms. Megan, which was great. We started the day playing with some chalk and making an obstacle course with the chalk.

Once we had walked to our usual spot on the bluff, we played with the parachute and stuffed animals. Next we moved to snack and story time and read a couple of books about the coming fall.

Following this we had a couple of different activities to choose from, we had the mud kitchen, some scissors for cutting grass, a leaf craft, and some fort/house building. It was great to see the squirrels try out different activities.

During our activity time, some of the squirrels discovered a fort that had been built by another class, so we decided to walk to it all together. After spending some time playing in the fort, we decided to read another story and do some drawing in our journals there. Following this it was already time to start walking back down the hill.
