Themes Explored: tracking, sharpening our eyes and ears, noticing when we give 100% to an activity

Skills Embraced:

-noticing tracks and telling their story (were they going up the hill or down? Was this track made today or yesterday? Who is the most likely candidate for this track?)

-noticing not just tracks, but animal signs; scat, signs of eating, animal kills

-making a language with a partner in Nutty Squirrels (how animals communicate; smell, touch, sight, hearing)

Connection Questions: Who was your partner in Nutty Squirrel, and what were your signals? What animal track did you chose to make in the playdough and why?
