Owls, June 13

We were sooo excited to be on the water today! There was quite a chain of command, with different people trying out being the Captain. Ask your owl what power looked in our boat; who did it well, what happened to them?

We found some interesting life on the river...some of us had a river snack, and some of us just enjoyed the wildlife. Having an unlimited supply of water meant the water gun got some use - on the local water fowl! They can handle it!

Some other things we learned; starboard, port, riffles, eddies, reading an eddy line, and picking out a good line on the river. Also, that everyone has to paddle in order to get momentum to steer...we love science!
