Our theme for the last couple classes is what animals do in preparation for winter, do they fly south, sleep all winter or stay here? Today's class we focused on beaver and what they do when the snow starts to fall. After building a very successful lodge we explored our area some more and played games like hide and seek which will help to transition us into sit spots. A sit spot is a quite, often alone activity in nature meant to inspire connection with the natural world or create time for reflection. We hope as the year progresses the nuthatches can sit and enjoy being in their own little bubble for a few minutes.
