We have been exploring new spots in Nuthatches and this week they choose a different spot because of all the birds and bird sounds we hearing and seeing. We started off with bird feeders in hopes that by the end of the class we might observe some eating them. The Nuthatches noticed the woodpecker that stayed around for a while and then at the very end a chickadee came and visited Neil's feeder! We hope to do this again and observe more birds next class.

After all the bird watching the Nuthatches were keen to play eye spy and we set up many different areas, one with stuffies to find, another with crayons and pencils. The Nuthatches were great at using the environment to help camouflages their items into the environment. By slowing down and looking very carefully we are practicing for when the bugs start coming out!
