Grey Squirrels, May 31

upstreamforestschool

We started class with a new game for some of the Squirrels called Camouflage. It's a variation on Hide and Seek and we took it in turns to be the seeker to find everyone else hidden in the trees . It was a popular game and one to play again next week.

Today was a physical play day for the Squirrels which started with climbing in the biggest tree at our spot. From here we created different activities as the beginnings of an obstacle course. The slackline tested our balance and strength, at the rope swing there was running, jumping and spinning which we could do with our friends with 2 or 3 children swinging on the ropes. A stick between two crates made a balance beam. We'll keep playing and developing the obstacle course next week.
