Coyotes, Feb 7

Thanks to Hiba for writing the blog. It was a great day and we are all looking forward to some ninja activity at Cor.Fit next week.

This Wednesday, the Coyotes had a lot of fun. To start off we prepared ourselves for our field trip next week by splitting up into twos and making obstacles courses. The first obstacle we did included a sleeping bag that you had to jump into and slide down the hill. A few people tried sliding down while standing up, and even doing dive rolls onto the sleeping bag. The second obstacle had levels. For the easy level, you had to somersault for a short distance down the hill. Going into the medium level, we somersaulted sideways across the hill. The hardest level was somersaulting up the hill, and it proved to be a really good ab workout, everyone was groaning up the hill. The next obstacle was really fun. You had to climb across a rope that was put up between two trees, and then drop onto a sled below you and slide down the hill. This last obstacle was very well thought out. A rope was hung on top of a tree branch, and it acted like a pulley. One side had a loop where you put your foot in, and you used the knots on the other side of the rope to pull yourself up. We then moved on to create an idea for our art piece that is being shown in the gallery. Everyone got into stations and was doing their own thing. Two people were sawing the wood to create a canvas, one person was testing nail art, and  another person was practicing crochet. We then headed back to the cabin for lunch, and we tested some more techniques to put in our art piece, and we also planned what we were doing for mini forest school later that day. When the time for mini forest school came, we had a blast. There was a lane for sledding set up,  a snow kitchen for the younger kids, and a slackline. The mum hub we set up went really well. We ended mini forest school with some parachute games, which everyone loved. After we cleared up, the Coyoted discussed some roles that they could add for the next mini forest school. We then went home, happy after a successful forest school!
