Burrowing Owls, May 24
We had some fun acting out and working through various first aid scenarios, that may happen at Forest School or in everyday life. The children got the chance to share their knowledge and try bandaging wounds. Some practiced the recovery position - ask your child to try it on you.
We started weaving with yarn on a simple cardboard loom which interested several in the group. Sitting in and around the fallen tree spot it was a community chatting and learning together.
Remember next week we're meeting at Bowness Park lagoon for some canoeing fun. We'll be near the cafe/rental building on the right hand side of the parking area when you first go in to the park. Please try to be there on time at 8:45 so you don't miss anything!
What were some of the situations and injuries you helped attend to using first aid?
Do you have a goal to reach on the slackline?
