Another great Squirrels class! With the weather staying so mild we have been able to continue using the plants around our spot, this time focusing on the texture and size as we made pipe cleaner bracelets. The Squirrels learned that our favorite big leaf plant, when chopping off the stem, can create beautiful beads.

Once we arrived at our spot we read a book about building animal homes and afterwards we invited the Squirrels to choose an animal to build a home for. There was lots of creativity amongst the home builders and the stuffies all appeared quite content. Ask your Squirrel which stuffie they built a home for and their favorite feature.... soft bed, doorway, food dish?

We also challenged the Squirrels with another obstacle course and everyone did a wonderful job completing it! Our hardest challenge was carrying a golf ball on a spoon. We also had a throwing challenge which was a favorite as well. Ask your Squirrel if they tried the hardest challenge or which obstacle was their favorite!

During free time today we had the surprise of many many lady bugs moving around the tall grass, which captivated many of the squirrels who spent time capturing them, watching them and creating little homes for them. Ask your Squirrel how many lady bugs they caught!
