The Monday Squirrels did an amazing job on our hike to Prince's Island. We travelled so well as a group and they perservered when their legs got tired. We blew bubbles off the bridge to see how far they would go down the river. Once on the island we were met by the most marvelous rolling hill. The Squirrels settled in this area for story and a snack and then some free play making dandilion crowns for the 'wild girls' and potions for the Harry Potter. It would have been easy to stay here for the entire class, but we knew the wet lands were going to offer so much. Once at the wetlands we used nets to see what we could catch. This eventually led to making fishing rods and finding the best place to fish. We successfully fished out some of our fishing rods!
Heading back was a little tougher, but we sang one long song about all the things we saw along the way.
Well done Squirrels!
