Squirrels, June 14

A little rain never hurt anyone. The Squirrels were resilient despite the cold, wet weather! We played Red light Green Light many times on the pathway and in through the trees. Such a wonderful game that was fully child-led for a long period of time. Under the tarp sewing was a popular activity.

Frisbee/Disc Golf was also another popular game and hanging up frisbees as targets to throw balls through after a knot tying lesson was a great chance to practice fine motor skills. Towards the end of the day we explored fire safety and the inner-workings of how fire and candles work. Once one candle was going many Squirrels had a chance to try and light one themselves!
