Rabbits, May 7

This week the Rabbits had their first class with Dori, the Indigenous teacher who is joining us for the next few weeks. It was rainy, but that didn’t stop us from playing games! We also sheltered under the tarp and made tobacco bundles, learning from Dori about how offerings of tobacco are used to show gratitude.

Inside we started some beading projects, keychains and felt badges, which we’re looking forward to returning to next week! Across from the cabin we also discovered the rope climb and several Rabbits took to the challenge of scrambling up the muddy hillside. We’re enjoying all the changing weather spring can bring.

Connecting questions:

  • What is something new you learned this week?

  • What beading project are you working on?

  • What changes have you noticed on the bluff this week?
