Rabbits - Feb 25, 2025

Writer: Elena Groen-SylvesterElena Groen-Sylvester

The rabbits enjoyed a very warm and wet morning! We were excited to welcome two new members to our class and we had a great day getting to know them.

We went on adventure today to Prince's Island park and had a lot of fun! On our walk over we stopped at the exercise park and played "the floor is lava." When we got to the island, some of the students decided to do some sledding on the icy hill and others really enjoyed stomping an icy pond that had formed from the recent snow melt. We also had a great time looking at the different patterns in the ice and watching them shatter when we threw them.

Following free time we played some games and then had our snack and continued reading from the book Wolf called Wander.

We then did a scavenger hunt looking for plants, animals, tracks, and scat that are typically found on the island. A few of things that we found today were beaver chewed stumps, rose-hips, and ducks.

We took some time for drawing some of the things that we saw and then had a bit more free time before heading back.
