The Rabbits had no problem with getting right into the snow and having fun! Will this be our last snow day? We never really know.
We challenged the Rabbits with rolling snow balls up the bluff and letting them tumble down. This took lots of effort and letting go of their work as they watched the giant snowballs tumble down and break apart. Alex was keen on making a fort and worked hard in making a barricade with shooting holes.
While the Rabbits helped Alex finish up his fort, Maisey, Sidney, Emmy and Mrs. Melanie made track marks up the bluff to a hiding spot. The remaining Rabbits gathered their backpacks and headed up the bluff to track the missing Rabbits. It was tricky, especially when the tracks went over the cement pathway and we lost them. The Rabbits have a keen eye though and found the track makers.
The Rabbits were hungry so they settled down for a mystery story and snack. Afterwards they tried out a new game called Frisilevio (cops and robbers). It was tricky and required strategy and team work. Ask your Rabbit what their strategy was when they were a cop or a robber.
Moving into free time the Rabbits headed down into the bike track for some good old fashioned mud play! The majority of rabbits became mud monsters and enjoyed getting muddy from head to toe. While some slipped and rolled in the mud, others faced their fears and climbed up the tree house for the very first time!
Rejoining at our regular spot. The Rabbits worked on drilling holes through sticks at the tool circle and had their hand at painting on coffee filters as slushy snow fell from the trees making the paint more of a water colour.
To end the day we played three rounds of three way tug o war. Ask your Rabbit what they thought. Was it hard on the slippery ground?
