Nuthatches, Nov 22

Today started off with some snow sliding as we just couldn't pass up the opportunity! As fun as it is going down its tricky to get back up. However through lots of persistence and the use of the rope everyone found a way to make it back up, whether it was crawling or being pulled up by a friend. Once we got to our spot we played a few games that related to chickadees, ask your nuthatch if they remember any of the traits that chickadees have that allow them to stay through the winter. In free time there was a snow kitchen area, tool circle and some rope swings set up. Lots of practice around communicating when they would like a turn or how much longer they are going to use the object for. We even got to observe some chickadees and practice our quite skills in hopes they would come closer!
