Nuthatches, Dec 6

Today we took our time getting to our spot. We stopped to read a book about how robin builds her nest since we have been curious about nests with all the chickadees around. We also took some time to explore the hill side but found out its so much harder to climb up then slide down! Eventually we arrived at our spot and started to make our nests, twigs, grass, snow as well as some fluff. Since some of the kids have been loving the pulleys, we hoisted the nest up and then dropped them to see if they were soft and cushy enough for the eggs! Ask your nuthatch if there egg survived the test and if afterwords they broke it a different way. After some kids continued to play with the pulleys while others played a game of cheetah.
