Another trip to Prince's Island, but this time it was to release the minnows that Avyn was able to keep alive for the week! Ask your Cottontail about the minnows and what happened when they were released back into the Bow river.
There was less excitement for catching minnows this week and more excitement in breaking rocks to find crystals and combing the beach for special rocks.
After finding fresh signs of beavers we moved along from the river and went to check out the beaver lodge in the wetlands. Settling down opposite from the damn we had a group quiet spot as we chose something to paint from our surroundings. There was lots of blue tones and paintings of water. As we settled some ducks and geese chose to investigate. Ask your Cottontail if they would rather a goose or a duck for a pet.
Heading back to the bluff we swung by to check out the goslings and had a little stop to try and feed the chickadees.
