Priya found the first dandelion of spring! Although it's spring it was cold today. Here is a gentle reminder to keep packing those mitts and a warm layer in case the winds start to blow.

While Breanne and Priya sewed beautiful pillows with special guest Mrs. Lea, the rest of the class joined the Coyotes for another game of revenge tag. The relationships that are building between these classes are lovely to see as the Cottontails prove their tagging abilities time and time again. We saw them have snippits of conversations with the Coyotes and branching off in some physical challenges.

Gathering as a group the Cottontails worked on individual projects in the tool circle. Andrew continues to work on his bow; Mettaya started and finished a spear that he was so proud of; Jono cut a large branch down to size and split it to make his own spear and Avyn quickly sharpened the tip of a perfect spear size caragana branch that he had found while helping others. Breanne and Priya continued to work on their sewing.

We took a hike up the bluff by following compass directions that lead us to a bracelet making kit. We made bracelets while remembering different events at forest school contemplating the different feelings we have felt throughout the year.

Returning to our area the Cottontails had some free style journal time. We wrapped up the day with a journal grid that helped us map out some of our favourite and least favourite things.
