We walked to the Field of Crosses and searched for the crosses of the seven Indigenous veterans honoured there. We heard some stories from Bert, a veteran himself and now the researcher and tour guide at the Field of Crosses. During sit spot as part of our ongoing work towards reconciliation we heard a poem by Solomon Ratt called Indian Veterans.

To stay warm we found a nearby hill and scouted out different sledding routes. Some with jumps, some steep and curvy. In the warmer weather next week we're hoping to start creating our own sleds. If you have anything at home that you think would be useful bring it along.

Rabbits - May 13

We enjoyed a sunny morning on the bluff! The dandelions were starting to pop up everywhere so we spent some time harvesting the petals...
