Accepting donations this week

May 5 is National Day of Awareness for MMEIP to remember, honour, and recognize Murdered, Missing, and Exploited Indigenous Peoples across turtle island (North and Central America). We are inviting the forest school community to help provide red ribbons, dresses, shirts and hangers that will be hung around Mohkinstsis (Calgary) to honour the Indigenous Peoples who we have lost or are missing. Items can be dropped off in the bin on the porch of the Upstream Forest School cabin (661 3 Ave NW) by Thursday, May 4.

There's also a memorial organized by the local Indigenous community happening on the bluff on Friday evening at 5pm. The address is 200 Memorial Drive (the field of crosses), and non-indigenous people are welcome to attend. See the Facebook event for details.
