Squirrels, Feb 25

What a beautiful February day for our Squirrels class! The Squirrels picked the location for our class, which was just up the hill and was protected from the wind. We started off with some free play, getting to explore the spot and embracing the feeling of playing without bulky snowsuits on!

Since it felt like spring we focused on a few bird games and activities. We read about some local birds and assigned them to each of the Squirrels, ask your Squirrel if they remember the name of their bird. Then we created our own little bird and played a sound recognition game. The Squirrels were easily able to identify the chickadee and Robin was found the Magpie a little tricker.

We played a few games, a few of our favorite plus a few new ones. Ask your Squirrel which one was their favorite. and Finished off the class with some more rock storytelling.
