For todays class we got to try out a couple new spots, since out regular spot is under construction. We headed a green space we call the ochard for some games and snow play. The Squirrels enjoyed the new spot and spent much of the time there painting in the snow, throwing snow balls and making other snow creations. The painters made elaborate mermaid cakes and created quite the colorful snowy landscape. We set up a target for the snowballs and everyone enjoyed challenging themselves to hitting the different sized targets. Ask your Squirrel which was their favorite.
Then we walked over to the ice rink/park along 3rd ave to meet up with the other class, the Red Foxes. They were kind enough to share their fire with us and organize some games and activities. Some of the Squirrels played a game out on the ice with a few of the red foxes, while others learned match lighting. We appreciated getting to know the red foxes more and are looking foreword to playing again soon! And thanks to their fire skills we had a toasty fire to roast our apples and hot dogs on. Ask your Squirrel who they played with and if they made friends with one of the Red foxes!
