The rabbits had another great day exploring Prince's Island park. We have really enjoyed visiting this spot over the year and experiencing the way the park changes with the seasons. Today we got to see lots of goslings running around and swimming, it was very fun to watch.
On our way over to island, we stopped at the exercise equipment to play a game of "the floor is lava," which is a class favourite. When we arrived on the island, we played animal card tag and a game of tails.
Following our games, we found a nice spot by the river to eat our snack and continue to watch the geese and the goslings. We then moved on our craft for the day, which was embroidering the felting projects that we have been working on for the past couple weeks. This was a bit of a tricky activity, but everyone was able to give it a try.
Spruce tips are currently in season, so we did a small harvest and the students took some spruce tips home. They can be made into tea or jelly or mixed into honey.
We then had some free time on the playground before walking back to the meeting spot.
