Rabbits - January 16

The rabbits were all excited to spend time outside today, after our polar vortex weather. Minus 10 this morning felt warm and welcoming to be outside and the kids enjoyed some wrestling to get warmed up for the class : ). The rabbits headed to the bike track, which is a fun spot to play games and run around. We enjoyed playing yeti ball and added some new rules to our game to keep things exciting . Some of the rabbits worked on fire skills; chopping wood, selecting a fire starter, creating a tinder bed, using flint and steel and safely disposing our embers. We used the Kelly Kettle to boil up some tea to keep us toasty warm. Our class finished up at the cabin, where we played a guessing game as well as a communication game. For the communication game, the rabbits had to try to replicate an arrangement of items without seeing it by relying on their team member to give them directions about how to set up the items. Communication and careful explanation was key and it was tricky and fun!
