Rabbits - April 22

Another fun day at Forest School! We enjoyed having a little bit of snow to start the day and then having the sun come and melt it all away.

We started the day off with some games in the Sunnyside orchard. This spot provides a great space for tag and other running games. While in the orchard, we also practiced directions and leading a partner using cardinal directions.

We then moved over the bluff and the students spent some time working together to create some forts. It was great to watch everyone participate in this activity and then see the two different forts that were created.

We enjoyed sitting in the forts for our snack and story time. Today we finished the book "A Wolf Called Wander," which the class seemed to really enjoy. Next week, we will read the supplemental material in the book, which is all about the real wolf that the story was based on.

Following this, we started a big felting project that will take us multiple classes to complete. Today we began working on the background for the picture that we will eventually create.
