Celebrating Heidi's last day teaching with cupcakes!
Celebrating Heidi's last day teaching with cupcakes!

The Owls had a spectacular field trip to Barrier Lake this week! The weather was stunning and the explorations great!

We found new spots to play old games (Eagle Eye Trench was a highlight), marvelled at Mother Nature's artistry in the melting icicles, and took some quiet time to take in our surroundings and paint.

The day went by in a flash! After lunch we wandered further up the beach, played the beats game, had some free time, and enjoyed come cupcake treats!

This will be my final blog post. I'm shifting into a full-time job teaching Outdoor Education for the spring/summer before heading back to school in the fall. Thank you to each of you for welcoming me into the Upstream Forest School family. It has been my greatest pleasure to watch your kids learn, grow, express, and explore this winter! Take good care and stay curious!
