Last week, our Owls had chosen the group activity for the morning; a carving circle followed by a fire for tea! The carving was so successful we have extended it to next week! There is an interest in bowl-shaped items, such as a spoon or ornamented staff. Carving is often a long-term activity, with projects taking weeks to complete. For this reason, it take perseverance and the ability to see something through to completion; we'd love for our Owls to experience this! Our Sit Spot had us 'deleting' the visual sense, and turning up the hearing - ask them how! Our reflection at the end of the day involved a story about a brave knight; we were asked to reflect on different ways of being brave, and our own experiences of being brave. Ask your child about their response!
